Direct Democracy in Action

Our Mission

We believe direct democracy is essential to American democracy. We empower voters to exercise their right to direct democracy by supporting ballot measure campaigns that let them decide the policies that shape their lives. We also work to protect their access to that right. The Fairness Project collaborates with state partners and coalitions nationwide to help pass measures that raise wages, expand health care access, protect reproductive rights, stop predatory payday lending, secure paid leave, and more. Through direct democracy, we deliver real wins that change lives.
