Georgia joins the Fairness Project as an experienced political communicator and social media strategist. In her role as National Communications Lead, she works to generate national media coverage of the Fairness Project and its ballot measure campaigns.
Georgia spent several years on Senator Bernie Sanders’ communications team, where she helped to develop an innovative communications and digital strategy to grow support for policies like Medicare for All, universal paid leave, and a $15 minimum wage. On the Bernie 2020 presidential campaign, Georgia led a social media and graphic design team that generated more than a billion interactions and raised millions of dollars in small contributions through organic social media engagement. Prior to joining the Fairness Project, she served as communications director for Congressman Jamaal Bowman of New York.
Georgia is a graduate of Duke University, where she studied political science and journalism. She currently lives in Boston and enjoys going on long walks, seeing live music, and watching reality competition shows.
